Heating & Cooling Service in Bethlehem, NC
Rural Alexander County — mini-splits for older farmhouses without ductwork.
Bethlehem is a quiet, unincorporated community in Alexander County where the pace of life is slower and neighbors still look out for each other. Located about 20 minutes from our Granite Falls shop, Bethlehem is a mix of older farmsteads, established family homes, and a scattering of newer builds. The area sits at the intersection of rural Alexander County and the southern edge of the Hickory metro, giving residents a country feel with access to town.

HVAC Service Built for Bethlehem
Many Bethlehem properties sit on larger lots with well water and septic systems, which tells you something about the age and character of the housing stock here. A significant number of homes in the Bethlehem area were built before central HVAC was standard, and some still rely on window units or space heaters for supplemental heating and cooling. If you are in that situation, a ductless mini-split system is often the best path to whole-home comfort without the expense and disruption of installing full ductwork. We have completed several of these installations in the Bethlehem area and can show you how it works.

Why Bethlehem Homeowners Choose Starnes
Bethlehem is the kind of community where people choose service providers based on word of mouth. Nobody out here responds to a TV commercial -- they call the company their brother-in-law recommended. That is how most of our Bethlehem customers found us, and it is why we work hard to keep every single one. We treat your home the way we would treat our own.

“I highly recommend Starnes Heating & Air. They checked my unit and told me it was fine instead of selling me a replacement I did not need. They were honest, did not take advantage of me, and gave me straightforward advice. I honestly believe they are an honest company with awesome service.”

“Starnes Heating & Air replaced both of my units in 2022. When the upstairs unit stopped working on a weekend, they sent a technician promptly. Isaac found a clogged condensation line, cleaned it out, and checked the other unit to make sure its line was clear too. Outstanding customer service from the office call to the service call!”
