Heating & Cooling Service in Taylorsville, NC
Alexander County's propane-to-heat-pump conversion specialists.
Taylorsville is the county seat of Alexander County and the kind of small town where people still know their neighbors. Set amid the rolling Brushy Mountain foothills, Taylorsville has a mix of established homes near the courthouse, rural properties along the winding back roads, and some newer construction on the outskirts. Alexander County is one of the most rural counties in the foothills, and many homeowners here rely on local businesses rather than corporate chains for their HVAC needs.

HVAC Service Built for Taylorsville
Alexander County has a higher-than-average number of homes with propane or oil heat systems, many of which were installed decades ago. Converting from propane to an efficient electric heat pump can save Taylorsville homeowners hundreds of dollars per year in fuel costs. We have completed many of these conversions throughout Alexander County and can walk you through the numbers for your specific home. We also see more homes here with no existing ductwork, which makes ductless mini-splits an ideal solution -- especially for older farmhouses or additions that were built without central HVAC.

“I highly recommend Starnes Heating & Air. They checked my unit and told me it was fine instead of selling me a replacement I did not need. They were honest, did not take advantage of me, and gave me straightforward advice. I honestly believe they are an honest company with awesome service.”

“Starnes Heating & Air replaced both of my units in 2022. When the upstairs unit stopped working on a weekend, they sent a technician promptly. Isaac found a clogged condensation line, cleaned it out, and checked the other unit to make sure its line was clear too. Outstanding customer service from the office call to the service call!”
